Hi! My name is Joe and I have been working as a professional Java developer for the last 5 years after graduating with a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham (UK). Currently I am living in Jakarta, Indonesia and looking to teach programming remotely while I am living here. Two years of my experience were spent working on a smaller Java based application for the rail industry, the other three years were spent working with a large multi national doing microservice based web development in both Java and Scala. I would be happy to help students of any age who are starting off on their programming journey. I would be able to teach the fundamentals of computer science and web based backend development, as well as assisting in coding best practices for Java development. I am happy to tailor each class to your needs and work with you to ensure that you meet your goals. I have a conversational grasp of Indonesian and German, but in likelyhood the best chance we have in communicating well is in English.
