Hello there! 🤗 I'm Teacher Siphokazi, straight from sunny Durban, South Africa!
I'm a qualified English teacher with a TEFL certificate, and I’m currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Communication Science (basically, I’m all about cracking the code of great communication!).
I’m a full-time English teacher, and I absolutely love helping students learn, laugh, and level up their language skills.
When I’m not teaching, you can catch me running (not always fast!), exploring new places, diving into books, cheering for my favorite football teams, binge-watching documentaries, or making animal friends.
Before stepping into the virtual classroom, I was a Teacher’s Assistant at a primary school in my area—where I quickly learned how much fun teaching can be. I then volunteered at the Durban Natural Science Museum, where I discovered how much I love breaking down complex topics into fun, relatable lessons (did you know giraffes only sleep about 4-6 hours a day?! Fun-fact.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students from around the world, including Spain, Italy, Mexico, Benin, Venezuela, Brazil, Poland, Portugal and China. My classes are all about variety and making learning come alive. We use written material like blogs and articles, watch videos, listen to podcasts, and draw on everyday life experiences to spark meaningful and fun conversations. Of course, we’ll also sprinkle in a few tests here and there to track your progress (don’t worry— it's nothing scary!).
As a student myself, I truly understand the challenges of learning something new. This insight helps me connect with my students and find the best ways to help them succeed.
With a mix of engaging content and activities, I promise you’ll never feel bored or stuck. Book your first lesson today, and let’s make learning English an exciting adventure—giraffe-approved! 🦒😉
