My name is Paul and I am a Cambridge Exam specialist specilising in preparing students for C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency. Objectives for C1 Preparation classes Reading One of the hardest parts of the exam. The course is designed to take an indepth look at each of the five parts of the exam and highlight what is required for each part - part 1, part 5, part 6, part 7 and part 8. Discuss all answers to all parts as to why they are correct and incorrect. Plenty of in class practice and homework. Writing How to write an introduction How to write a paragraph How to write a conclusion look at the scoring criteria and how that should affect the writing performance of the candidate Importance of a plan before writing How to write a report How to write a proposal and the difference between the two Why candidates should be writing a report or a proposal in part 2 of the Writing exam Listening Practice, practice and practice - looking at each part and dissecting what is required. Strategies and tips for the different parts to maximise the candidates time and scoring potential. In class practice with discussion of answers in class. Speaking What is required for each part. Look at the scoring criteria and how the examiners will score candidates performance.
